How do I transfer out of college?

I attend a Kean University (4 year school) in NJ and recently completed my first year. I already registered for classes for the fall 2011 semester but I'm highly considering transferring to CUNY Hunter because I'm paying to much for out of state. ( I live in NY). I would love to transfer to Hunter for the Fall 2011 semester but I think that's probably impossible now since I already registered. So I'm planning on transferring for the Spring 2012 semester but I'm not sure how to go about it and I'm not sure if my school allows that. I just want to know how I should go about transferring and some advice on what I should do. Thanks.
