How Much Does It Cost To Get Into Six Flags Great Adventure?

Ok, Im going to Six Flags Great Adventure In NJ and I was wondering if you have to pay 36.99 (Which is the cost of the ticket when you buy it online) to get in , Im bringing my parents and they dont want to go on any rides and i dont see how it makes sense to pay 36.99 for them when they dont plan on going on any rides. So do you need to pay 36.99 to get into the park or can you get into the park free without riding on the rides, Thankss In Advance :D
